Elboya

North-South Connector

During Phase 1 of engagement, we gathered input on the existing conditions and used this input to inform our design. Click here if you'd like to view a summary of the key input we received and how we propose to address it.

The route within Elboya extends from Riverdale Ave to 50 Ave and includes 4a St, Lansdowne Ave, Cres. Blvd, 5 St, 46 Ave, and 5 St. The proposed design consists of both bike boulevards and a multi-use path. A multi-use path is planned for the hill on Cres. Blvd and 5 St to provide a separated space for slower-moving wheeled users. The rest of the corridor has lower traffic volumes and relatively flat terrain, so only minor changes are proposed for it to function as a bike boulevard.

We appreciate and acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the ancestral and traditional territories of the Blackfoot confederacy, made up of the Siksika, Piikani, Amskaapipiikani and Kainai First Nations; the Îethka Nakoda Wîcastabi First Nations, comprised of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations; and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The City of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Métis Nation Battle River Territory (Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6). We acknowledge all Indigenous people who have made Calgary their home.
