Spruce Drive Project – Summer 2025 Update

We’re keeping busy this summer! Our team is hard at work doing parking studies, engineering surveys, and having conversations with directly affected residents. We’re also refining the design based on what we’ve heard so far.

Stay tuned—an update on the design progress is expected this Fall 2025!

Thanks for your continued interest in the project!

What we are proposing

Please view the example images below (Click on each image to enlarge/ zoom)

These images show how the street could look as well as design concepts moving along Spruce Drive from west (Edworthy) to southeast (Bow Trail).

The grey line is a multi-use bike path - this includes bike paths going in both directions, separated by a painted line, lined with lights and trees, with a separated sidewalk.

The crossings of the side streets will be raised so people walking and biking won’t lose height and ride over a bump – the biggest expected benefit of this is to slow vehicle turning speeds when entering the side-streets, as it will be a raised crossing and act like a speed bump for the vehicle.

These are example images from other places to give you an idea of what these improvements could look like (raised pathway, some trees/ lighting and a separated sidewalk).
