Background
Parks are great places for people in Calgary to enjoy nature and spend time with others. That's why we’re working on making old and less-used parks and playgrounds better for everyone. When old playgrounds need replacing, we work with the community to decide how the playground can be improved with new equipment or reimagined with new park amenities, like picnic tables and areas for recreation.
Through the Parks And Playground Amenities Program (PAPA) and the Playground Optimization Program, we’ve chosen parks in the community that can be improved with either new playground equipment or reimagined with new park amenities that invite gathering and and game play.
Proposed Changes
In Beddington, 11 park spaces will be improved. On the map below, the green markers show the playgrounds that need replacing new and improved playground equipment. The blue markers show the park spaces we hope to reimagine by adding new features and amenities.
