Green Line North will include stations along Centre Street between 9 Avenue and the future community of Keystone Hills. Alignment along Centre Street for Green Line in the North was approved by Council in 2014.

On June 26, Administration will be making a final recommendation to City Council on station locations, transit oriented development, stage 1 construction (from 16 Avenue N to 126 Avenue SE) and the vision for the full alignment of the Green Line from 160 Avenue N to Seton.

Come find us at different locations from Tuxedo Park to North Pointe to talk to project team members about what Administration will be recommending to Council.

The City did extensive public engagement with communities in the north to identify a route for the north leg of the Green Line between 2012 and 2014. After this engagement and technical studies were completed, Centre Street was selected as the preferred route by City Council.

In early 2016, after funding approval from both City Council and an announcement for funding by the Government of Canada, The City held open house style information sessions to reintroduce the public to the Green Line North project.

We are hosting pop up sessions along the North Alignment during the month of June.

In the spring of 2016 the Green Line project team held five Station Area Workshops. These workshops were used to talk to communities around the stations about how they would use the stations and how they would get to and from the stations. A transit oriented development workshop was also held in April 2016 for the 64 Avenue N station.

In 2016 three transit oriented development (TOD) workshops were held. These workshops, also known as design charrettes, are multi-day collaborative workshops that brings together citizens, consultants and City staff to create a community-based TOD plan for the areas near future stations in Crescent Heights/Tuxedo Park and at 64 Avenue and 40 Avenue stations.
